Job Description

Fieldstone at Chester Springs is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Program Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Compass Memory Care Neighborhood, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and engagement of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and conducting programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for residents.
  • Encourage and support residents in participating in activities, assessing and planning the facilitation of a comprehensive activities program.
  • Coordinate community events, including setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring a seamless experience for residents and staff.
  • Help plan and execute holiday events and special activities, maintaining a festive atmosphere throughout the community.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies for activities and events.
  • Facilitate mixed groups and regularly scheduled activities, promoting socialization and engagement among residents.
  • Maintain activity areas in an organized and tidy manner, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents.
  • Oversee the daily care of animals and plants within the activities program, ensuring their well-being and happiness.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events, submitting it to the Program Director for final approval and posting it in a visible location.
  • Distribute the community newsletter, keeping residents informed about upcoming events and activities.
  • Support the Director in implementing the New Directions program, ensuring its successful execution and impact on resident care.
Requirements
  • An associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to three years' experience in memory care or working with seniors, with a strong understanding of their needs and preferences.
  • Ability to use software to design calendars and signs, use email and the Internet, and respond promptly to resident needs.
  • Supports the organization's goals and values, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, respect, and integrity.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, coordinate events, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
