About the Role

This position involves leveraging the principles of adult learning to develop and deliver clinical educational programs for various healthcare professionals. You will work closely with staff and leadership to identify, prioritize, and evaluate the educational and professional development needs of our clinical service line or entire medical center.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of nursing experience, including at least one year of experience coordinating or managing education programs, curriculum design, development, and evaluation/assessment. A Master's degree in nursing or a related field is required, and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice or PhD in a related field is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver clinical educational programs, including specialty training, new graduate/hire training, continuing education for staff, and training for upgrades and changes to KPHC.
  • Coordinate nursing competence and professional development programs for multiple or complex Patient Care Services clinical area(s).
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of proficiencies for PCS staff and management and provide feedback and formal action plans under the supervision and guidance of the Nursing Professional Development Director and Leadership team.
Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and skilled nurse educator who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum one year of experience coordinating or managing education program /curriculum design, development, and evaluation/assessment.
  • Minimum one year in staff professional development and/or clinical training/teaching.
  • Master's degree in nursing or related field required.
Salary and Benefits
