Physician Assistant

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join its rehabilitation team in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
About the Role:
- Assess and evaluate patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and rehabilitation needs to create personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address patients' functional limitations and disabilities.
- Provide high-quality patient care, including conducting physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients and their families about rehabilitation techniques and strategies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patients' progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies for optimizing outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' treatment plans, progress, and outcomes, as well as any changes or updates to their care.
- Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and research findings in rehabilitation medicine, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies or related field, and completion of a certified physician assistant program.
- Current licensure as a physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a physician assistant in a rehabilitation setting, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient hospital or clinic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accurate and detailed records.
- Flexibility to work variable schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
