Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), this role directs and guides patient teaching and activities that align with education and demonstrated competencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the assessment of patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions, ensuring comprehensive care.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans by utilizing available resources, consulting with RNs and other staff as needed.
  • Implements clinical and technical aspects of care according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Administers medications accurately, using proper techniques and procedures, including IV therapy (when certified).
  • Obtains diagnostic tests as ordered by Health Care Practitioners, communicating results to ancillary departments.
  • Participates in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary, under the guidance of a Health Care Practitioner.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, documenting nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting.
  • Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.

  • Maintains security clearance and applies principles of critical thinking in practical and emergent situations.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment beyond standardized procedures, applying knowledge to different factual situations.
  • Remains alert and attentive to details, working effectively under stress on a regular basis.
  • Prioritizes dignity and confidentiality of patients, respecting their rights and autonomy.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer an estimated salary of $68,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
