Carpet Maintenance Specialist

The Carpet Maintenance Specialist will work in compliance with train schedules to clean passenger rail cars, adhering to corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and local, state, and federal regulations.

• Clean passenger cars, restrooms, and replenish bathroom supplies.
• Perform general labor duties on equipment and grounds.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Follow Drummac guidelines for conduct.
• Keep area around dumpsters clean and secure.
• Notify supervisor of any faulty equipment.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
• Wear and use required protective equipment while working.
• Take responsibility for own safety while on the job.

• Regularly stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Lifting 35-50lbs in weight; pushing/pulling 35-75lbs.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Usually moderate noise level in the work environment.

• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and various hours to accommodate train arrival and departure.
• Must be willing to work odd hours and/or split shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

• Valid driver's license required.
• Works with integrity and ethically.
• Knowledge and understanding of Drummac policies and Handbook.
• The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
• Responds to requests for service and assistance.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines and handle conflict resolution.
• Must be able to work from written assignment sheet and sign-off work completed on printed forms.
• Must exhibit ability to read and interpret operational manuals.
• Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills).
• Experience in janitorial services is preferred.

Hourly rate range for Carpet Maintenance Specialist in Goleta, California: $17-19.

Actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on multiple factors, including relevant skills and experience. In addition to hourly wage, full-time employees will be offered the following benefits:
