Job Title: Technical Service Advisor
Job Summary:
A Technical Advisor will provide superior support to the HVAC dealer, thereby supporting our Sales Team's efforts in growing premier distributors.
Support will be provided by phone, on-site, and training events intended to improve the professional HVAC technician's proficiency. The Technical Advisor will be an integral part of the team's resource development and equipment innovation implementation.
Essential Duties/Accountabilities:
- Provides technical support by phone to dealers and sales professionals, and branch personnel.
- Conducts on-site job visits when necessary.
- Conducts Dealer Training.
- Maintains regular contact with regional managers. These meetings should include discussion that assists in determining future training topics.
- Performs required duties with the ability to work supervised and independently, striving to maintain excellent time management skills.
- Maintains a personal and professional development plan.
- Leads the industry in proficiency of new technology, HVAC equipment, and accessories by attending designated training provided by manufacturers and Baker Distributors.
- Develops and maintains an appropriate expense budget.
- Submits regular activity and expense reports, as appropriate and within specified time requirements.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effectively multi-tasks and has the ability to learn quickly.
- Field service work or equivalent Technical Service Advisor experience.
- Must be able to do public presentations for groups of people.
- Must meet manufacturer requirements for tech service levels across various lines of equipment.
- Must be able to become state CEU certified in 5 states (AL, FL, GA, MS, SC).
Licensing and Certifications:
- Valid driver's license.

The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
