Medical Support Specialist

About the OpportunityThe Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting healthcare providers, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Interaction: Engage with patients in a welcoming and professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing assistance and information regarding their medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Support clinical operations and patient care by conducting preliminary evaluations, performing basic clinical procedures, documenting patient information accurately, and maintaining electronic health records (EHRs) in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications under the supervision and direction of licensed healthcare providers, adhering to state regulations and guidelines for medication administration.
- Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care, communicate effectively with providers and other healthcare professionals, and welcome and support the training of new team members.
- High school diploma required.
- Medical Assisting certification with at least one (1) year of experience or two (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Competitive salary range: $45,000 - $65,000 per annum.
