Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Kedren Community Health Center Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques.
  2. Enter provider's orders in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and label specimens accordingly.
  3. Transport specimens to the laboratory for processing.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to standard precautions and infection control protocols.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and medical professionals to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Requirements:

  1. Certified Phlebotomist Technician certification.
  2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  3. 6 months of experience as a Phlebotomist Technician, preferred.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Bilingual English/Spanish, strongly preferred.
