Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Wellfleet, MA. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect specimens from patients according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
  • Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
  • Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
  • Enter data accurately into computer systems and navigate lab technology systems.
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management, sanitizing equipment, and answering phones.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
