Job Summary

Ultra Clean Technology Systems & Svc Inc is seeking an experienced Metal Silk Screen Technician III to join our team in Chandler, AZ. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing detailed silkscreen on various metal products and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply labels and identification marks on parts, ensuring adherence to specifications and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Set up and process jobs as required by customer drawings, blueprints, and/or artwork.
  • Operate silkscreen machinery to print designs and markings on parts and products, preparing screens and inks and ensuring accurate alignment of stencils and templates.
  • Keep track of ink, solvents, and other supplies, reordering as necessary to avoid shortages.
  • Clean tables and equipment after ink use.
  • Accurately record production runs and quality checks, reporting any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Follow all safety and hazard procedures.
  • Design and use fixtures to perform set-ups for screening and airbrushing parts.
  • Read, understand, and follow written directions.
  • Communicate positively and effectively with other employees.
  • Record required information on computers and travelers.
  • Route parts to the next department according to the traveler.
  • Follow all SOPs, Lean manufacturing processes, company policies, and practices.
  • Complete training on assigned processes.
  • Perform daily organization and upkeep of assigned process area.
  • Attend monthly Communication meetings and training programs as required.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals correctly and safely.
  • Follow all policies and directions for safe use of and proper disposal of hazardous chemicals.
  • Participate in safety program and complete various training.
  • Have good organizational skills and efficiently manage time and report on achievement towards goals.
  • Maintain a high degree of safety and environmental awareness through safe work habits and 6S.
  • Seek to advance skills and learn new processes.
  • May perform receiving, processing, wiping, scrubbing, masking, chemical processing, machine operating, etching, blasting, coating, drying, baking, and other processes as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • AA degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Kaizen or Lean training a plus.

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in silkscreen printing or part marking in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Familiarity with the tools and techniques of the trade.
  • Knowledge in using measuring tools such as calipers, scales, etc.
  • Familiarity with quality standards (ISO9001/AS9100).
  • Familiarity with basic computer software such as Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to kneel, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Work with hazardous chemicals daily.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend directions.
  • Must be able to hear and speak to communicate with co-workers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. safely.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Environmental Exposure:

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.

Travel:

Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
