Job Summary:

The Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for performing all duties for the WMATA PC Deployment Team, including imaging, installations, problem resolution, hardware and software configuration, and desk-side support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and diagnose problems through discussion with users and hands-on assistance
  • Provide on-site support to end-users on a variety of issues
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
  • Respond to and close tickets assigned to PC Deployment/Lifecycle Refresh
  • Ensure all assigned tickets are updated and moving towards a successful resolution in a manner that meets or exceeds contractual SLA's
  • Document, track, and monitor all assigned work through tracking systems to ensure timely resolution
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, pass a National Agency Background Investigation to receive a Public Trust Security Clearance, and possess a Microsoft Office Specialist certification within 60 days of employment. Additionally, the candidate should have 1-3 years' experience with deployment projects, functional hardware troubleshooting skills, and mid-level Windows 7/Windows 10 experience.

A strong understanding of written technical documentation, excellent attention to detail, organizational and teamwork skills, and the ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs are also essential.

The estimated salary for this position is around $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.
