Argonne National Laboratory, a leading research institution, is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join its multidisciplinary team focused on developing innovative chemical processes. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of electrochemical and optical sensors for molten salts, and apply their expertise to improve product morphology, quality, and process efficiency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on projects involving the application of chemical and electrochemical principles to control and improve product quality, and develop novel process monitoring and control technologies applicable to molten salt and liquid metal systems.

You will be responsible for designing and performing experiments to advance the technical understanding and application of molten salt chemistry, and collaborating with supervisors, peers, and Laboratory management through regular updates, technical reports, and project presentations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrochemistry or electrochemical engineering, with experience working safely with hazardous materials using engineering controls such as gloveboxes. They should also have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and be able to model Argonne's Core Values: Impact, Safety, Respect, Integrity, and Teamwork.

This is a full-time, long-term position with an estimated annual salary of $**90,000**. Argonne offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
