Job Title: Executive Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our team at the Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments (MOTA). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of policies and programs that promote the interests of African American communities in the District of Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for African American communities in the District
  • Assist the Mayor in developing and implementing policies and programs that benefit African American residents
  • Identify areas for service improvement and develop recommendations for meeting these needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, and the private sector
  • Conduct public relations and outreach efforts to promote the work of the office
  • Develop and maintain a system of data collection and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of office programs

Requirements:

  • Strong background in public policy, community organizing, and constituent engagement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the District's government and private sector groups
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
