Floater Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Floater Teacher Assistant to join our team at United Counseling Services. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children to thrive.

About the Role
  • Assist classroom teachers with daily operations, providing breaks, coverage for meetings, and support with beginning and end of the day cleaning and maintenance.
  • Supervise children's play activities, help with individual and group activities, and observe and report child behavior to teachers and management.
  • Contribute to classroom and facility maintenance, including cleaning, tidying, and organizing common areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Assist with bus monitoring, ensuring children's safety and engagement during transportation.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with teachers and managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the full-day program.
  2. Provide support with classroom activities, including supervising children's play, helping with individual and group activities, and observing and reporting child behavior.
  3. Contribute to classroom and facility maintenance, including cleaning, tidying, and organizing common areas.
  4. Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  5. Assist with bus monitoring, ensuring children's safety and engagement during transportation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Valid Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (AA) or be enrolled in a program leading to a CDA or AA within 2 years of employment start date.
  • Valid Driver's License.
