Bakery Team Member with Excellent Communication Skills

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Team Member to join our team at Sam's Club. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, ensuring quality and date control standards, and providing exceptional customer service to members.
About the Role
This is a fast-paced environment where you will juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, working closely with other associates to build a strong bakery team. You will be an expert in preparing bakery department merchandise, operating baking equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Promote a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members
- Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have
- Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area
- Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- Demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution
- Assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills to tackle obstacles head-on and ensure each task is completed with excellence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Compensation
The estimated hourly wage range for this position is $17.50 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
