About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Recovery Coach to join our team in Gloucester, VA. As a key member of our medical staff, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide peer support and guidance throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct coaching interviews with patients to identify goals, obstacles, and progress towards recovery
  • Serve as a first point of contact for patients between appointments, responding promptly to voicemails, telephone, and web encounters
  • Assist with patient intakes and complete accurate documentation in a timely manner
  • Cover basic medical assistant duties as needed, including obtaining and recording vital signs, UDSs, pregnancy tests, oral swabs, and BAC measurements
  • Prepare lab samples for precision and LabCorp testing
  • Facilitate care coordination within the practice and with outside providers as needed
Requirements
  • Completed 72-hour Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) training required by DBHDS
  • Minimum 2 years of personal sustained recovery
  • Compliance with DBHDS requirements regarding barrier crimes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist preferred
  • Ability to provide empathy and accountability while supporting patients in adhering to treatment plans

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000-$55,000 based on location and experience.
