Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commodities Expert to join our Power Desk team, responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and forecasting global energy commodities markets and prices. This individual will contribute to the production and delivery of an integrated and comprehensive analysis offering, empowering core readers to make well-informed trading, risk management, and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to researching, analyzing, and articulating factors influencing the anticipated future value of power in North American markets.
• Produce high-quality charts, presentations, and reports that empower core readers to make informed decisions.
• Identify and anticipate emerging trends proactively, leveraging a robust understanding of power trading, modeling, and forecasting to predict market movements.
• Stay updated on evolving markets, encompassing price shifts, trade patterns, behavior, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics affecting power markets.

Requirements:

• Prior Commodities experience, with a preference for power market experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Python and/or VBA.
• Proven track record of meeting challenging objectives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Excel skills are required.
