Your Role

As a Certified Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with RNs and healthcare staff to ensure the delivery of quality patient care, intervening with proper techniques and safety precautions.
  • Gathering patient history, verifying medications, and making appropriate referrals for follow-up, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive healthcare support.
  • Adhering to designated work schedules, responding effectively to codes or patient crises as per site policies, and assisting healthcare practitioners as assigned.
  • Prioritizing infection control techniques and principles, contributing to the emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients.
  • Maintaining working areas, supplies, and equipment, attending mandatory staff meetings/training to uphold a high standard of healthcare delivery and professional development.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
  • Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if certification is required by the State or the facility.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.
