We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team as a travel specialist in Winchester, Virginia. This 13-week assignment offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic healthcare organization and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Job

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating fluoroscopic equipment and assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures. You will also prepare patients for procedures, monitor their condition during treatment, and report any abnormalities. To succeed in this role, you must have a thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to ensure the safety of both patients and operators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to explain procedures accurately.
  • Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Monitor patient condition during all procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to interpret examination requests accurately.
  • Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. You should also hold BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification and state-specific licensing when required. A Vascular Interventional certificate is preferred.

Working Conditions:

You will need to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential for success in this role.

Estimated salary for this position: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on 40 hours per week and 52 weeks per year, excluding benefits and overtime. However, actual salaries may vary depending on individual circumstances.
