Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Relief Coffee Route Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering fresh coffee to customers on variable routes and building relationships with store management to increase visibility within accounts.

This seasonal position provides vacation relief for the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area and may last up to 90 days. The hourly rate for this position is $23.11/hr.

Key Responsibilities

  • Route Delivery: Forecast and order weekly deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
  • Merchandising: Maintain store displays by ensuring proper inventory, pricing, and date code rotation.
  • Customer Service: Comply with customers' scheduled receiving hours and policies, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • In-Store Displays: Build and maintain attractive in-store displays to promote products and services.
  • Inventory Management: Manage Point-of-Sale inventory, maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Sales Development: Identify and solicit new accounts fitting approved Peet's profiles, selling special programs to store owners and managers.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all company-supplied equipment, including vehicles and POS systems, are clean and serviced regularly.
  • Reporting: Complete all required reports and paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Travel: Ability to travel when needed to support business needs.

Qualifications

  • Prior Experience: Prior DSD/truck-to-store sales experience required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and store management.
  • Insurability: Clean DMV record and insurability required.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently in various settings.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours depending on business needs.
