Job Summary

This is a first-line management position responsible for leading the Electrical Subsystems team at Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works Advanced Development Programs division. The successful candidate will report to the Palmdale Vehicle Systems Sr. Manager and be responsible for all aspects of staffing, technical leadership, and personnel management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define staffing needs and select personnel to meet program requirements
  • Recruit, select, and develop new employees, as well as manage terminations
  • Oversee personnel management, including training, mentoring, career development, performance management, and compensation
  • Make work assignments, coach, and mentor team members to achieve technical and program goals
  • Support the development of the Electrical Power Systems competency and ensure the team's technical expertise is up-to-date
Requirements
  • Experience with Electrical Power Systems and technical leadership in an aerospace environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college, with a preference for Electrical Engineering
  • At least 13 years of experience in Electrical Power Systems, with experience in developing electrical subsystem architectures, performing electrical loads analysis, and architecting vehicle power distribution systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills
  • Experience with overseeing hardware suppliers and managing technical projects
  • Security clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years
