Job DescriptionThe X-ray Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality radiographs following CityMD X-ray protocols, procedures, and Department of Health regulatory compliance in an efficient and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Performing common X-ray studies in a timely manner, including chest, extremity, spinal, and abdomen X-rays.
- Properly documenting X-ray studies performed and facilitating communication between the Provider and Radiologist using internal X-ray and care coordination software.
- Keeping accurate records of QC logbooks, including pregnancy consent forms, daily check-off lists, patient logbooks, and repeat/rejects to ensure compliance with the Department of Health.
- Troubleshooting equipment and software malfunctions and notifying Site Manager and X-Ray Manager when service is needed.
- Assisting with patient flow and utilizing the flag system to maintain good communication between clinical staff members.
- Performing vital signs and documenting results in the EMR.
- Assisting with CLIA waived tests, EKGs, splints, sling placement, and proper use of crutches.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the site, including waiting rooms, exam rooms, labs, common work areas, X-ray suites, and break rooms.
- Graduation from an accredited X-ray Technologist program.
- Preferably 4-6 months of previous experience in the field.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear instructions to patients on procedure processes.
- The ability to perform basic X-rays, position patients, adjust restriction devices, and determine patient X-ray needs.
- Flexibility with a full-time work schedule, including weekends.
- Strong aptitude for detail, organizational skills, problem-solving capabilities, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Functional and practical knowledge of various computer systems.
- Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on-site location.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
The job may require lifting light to moderate amounts of weight and heavy computer use.
Compensation:$36 - $40/hr. $5,000 sign-on bonus included.
The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors, including years of experience and location of position.
