We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Burn Unit team at Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with severe burns, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that each patient receives individualized attention and care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, providing updates to the healthcare team and family members.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among team members.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 6 months of hire date required.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date required.
