Psychiatric Technician

At Penn State Health, we're seeking a dedicated Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our team. This per diem position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to patients in need.
About the RoleThe LPT will work under the direction of a registered nurse or provider, providing direct and individualized nursing care to assigned patients. Key responsibilities include observing, reporting, and recording medical information, instructing patients and families, and communicating with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
Requirements- Currently licensed as a LPN/LVN in the state of employment or eligible for licensure
- One year of LPN/LVN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to completion of orientation
- Act 31 training completion within 45 days of hire
