Job Description

We are looking for an experienced martial artist with considerable skill in a discipline compatible with karate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching martial arts, providing constructive criticism, implementing our curriculum, and being a team player.

The Martial Arts Instructor is responsible for supervising students, delivering martial arts-specific instruction, creating a safe and engaging learning environment, and serving as a positive role model. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering daily martial arts instruction to students aged 4-18 with varying ability levels.
  • Demonstrating martial arts techniques, explaining principles, observing student performance, and providing feedback on progress.
  • Group supervision, focusing on behavior management, health and safety, security, and personal development.
  • E nsuring student and team member safety, teaching safe training habits, and enforcing martial arts rules and regulations.
  • Developing and preparing daily lesson plans in an engaging and creative manner.
  • Utilizing effective classroom management skills to lead activities and create an inclusive environment.
  • Collaborating with fellow Activity Specialists and contributing to daily responsibilities.
  • Serving as a positive role model and adhering to the Impact Kids Code of Conduct.

Estimated salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
