Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services. Essential Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Support: Provide support for development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS.
  • Deployment Automation: Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Technological Advancement: Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Clearance: Must have TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Experience: At least 9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering and Bachelors in related field; or 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Linux Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Configuration Management Tools: Proficient in configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • AWS Services: Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure.
  • PostgreSQL Databases: Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL databases, including administration and troubleshooting.
  • Application and OS Deployment: Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management.
  • Programming Languages: Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as bash, Python, or Go.
  • Development Tools: Familiarity with Git and other development tools such as deployment pipelines.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Software Development Methodologies: Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites.
  • Work Location: Must be able to work on customer site in Ft. Belvoir, VA 5 days/week.
Preferred Requirements
  • Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies like: Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.
  • Containers and Kubernetes: Experience with containers and Kubernetes are a plus.
Salary Range

We offer a competitive compensation package with an estimated annual salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 based on experience and qualifications.
