Job Title: School Health Center Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a School Health Center Operations Coordinator at the Bucksport Regional Health Center.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, approximately 17 hours per week, with potential for 24 hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the School Based Health Center, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions, and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage policies and procedures related to SBHC enrollment, consent, and release during school-day for SBHC clinical visits, health education, and small groups.
  • Develop and maintain the SBHC policy and procedure manual.
  • Handle all enrollment paperwork, including printing, distribution, collection, and filing.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to questions regarding the SBHC process.
  • Coordinate and work with the patient care team structure and processes.
  • Perform accurate scheduling for appointments, ensuring patient confidentiality.
  • Obtain updated clerical information in accordance with procedural guidelines, entering all necessary documents into the electronic health record.
  • Follow the process for checking in and checking out all patients to ensure accuracy.
  • Regularly clean and disinfect the School Based Health Center.
Requirements
  • At least three years of administrative/secretarial/high-level clerical experience, including project coordination. Medical experience is preferred.
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is a plus.
  • Computer knowledge, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as database and desktop publishing software.
  • Ability to follow through with projects assigned.
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask.
  • Good organizational skills to handle multiple priorities while remaining professional and calm.
  • Ability to work with diverse people, including children and teenagers.
  • Strong level of confidentiality due to the sensitivity of materials and information handled.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed and flexible.
  • Behave in a professional manner and consistently demonstrate and promote the values of respect, honesty, and dignity for patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Education Requirements

A high school graduate or equivalent is required; an Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is quiet and located within the Ellsworth High School location.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is between $35,000 and $50,000 annually, depending on experience.
