Job Description

As a key member of the WA State Dept of Financial Institutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Oversight Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and experience in financial services regulation, with a strong understanding of consumer protection laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all enforcement activities, including administrative actions against licensed and unlicensed entities, supervising a team of attorneys and non-attorneys, and coordinating with other state and federal agencies.

This is a hybrid position, with the option to work up to three days per week from home.

  • Supervise a team of attorneys and non-attorneys in the Enforcement Unit.
  • Oversee all enforcement activities, including administrative actions against licensed and unlicensed entities.
  • Coordinate with other state and federal agencies on enforcement matters.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Enforcement Unit.
  • Conduct technical reviews of unit reports, charges, orders, and investigative reports.
  • Administer the investigation caseload, including the coordination, planning, and assignment of investigations.
