Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team at El Rio Health. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate coding and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coding and assignment of ICD and CPT codes for all record types
  • Reviewing medical records for accuracy and completeness
  • Providing education to providers on proper coding and clinical documentation practices
  • Collaborating with staff to resolve appeals and denials
  • Ensuring compliance with CMS, NCQA, and other regulatory agencies
Requirements

To be successful as a Medical Coding Specialist at El Rio Health, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A current Certified Professional Coding (CPC) certification
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $22-$28 per hour, based on location and industry standards. Additionally, El Rio Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
