CVICU Intensivist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital.

Job Summary:

The RN-CVICU will provide direct patient care to critically ill cardiovascular patients, utilizing critical thinking and advanced assessment skills to identify potential problems and develop effective interventions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

About the Role:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Conduct thorough assessments, identifying potential problems and developing evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and interventions
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements:

• RN licensure in the State of Texas or eligibility for licensure
• 1+ year of experience in a CVICU or similar critical care environment
• Advanced certification in CVICU or Critical Care preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $83,000 - $110,000, depending on experience.
