We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team on a travel contract in California.
Job SummaryThis is a 13-week contract with the opportunity to work as an Interventional Radiology Technologist responsible for performing complex specialized tasks using radiographic equipment to conduct vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing clinical excellence and ensuring patient safety. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of procedures and possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail.
About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Developing and maintaining skills in various clinical systems implemented related to modalities.
- Maintaining an adequate level of supplies required for patient care.
- Ensuring relevant exam information is captured at the time of the exam.
- Assisting radiologists in performing exams.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- At least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiographer.
- Independent decision-making skills.
- A solid understanding of patient safety and precautions.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
- Physical and sensory requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices): walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling, ability to hear and respond to pages; ability to read and write; ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with residents, families, personnel, vendors, and consultants; ability to remain calm under stress; ability to distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures.
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
