Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter

Job Type: Full-time, 24/25 school year

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at ProCare Therapy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in interpreting and a bachelor's degree in ASL or education interpreting.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting events, discussions, announcements, conversations, etc.
  • Working with students, teachers, and staff to ensure effective communication

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in ASL or education interpreting
  • Must be licensed SLI in NC
  • Educational Interpreter I - Minimum score of Level 3.3 on the Educational Interpreter Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) or a passing score on a state level interpreting evaluation and a minimum of an AA degree
  • Educational Interpreter II - Minimum of AA degree in Educational Interpreting or a related field from an accredited program, a minimum of 3 years experience in an education setting and a score of Level 3.5 on the EIPA
  • Educational Interpreter III - Minimum EIPA score of a 4.0 or a national certification. 5 years experience in education is required with a minimum of a AA degree in interpreting or a related field
