Job Description

As an Azure Architect at Smartbridge, you will have the opportunity to work with customers and Smartbridge sponsors and delivery teams to solve mission-critical business and technology problems and provide solutions centered on the consumption of the Azure Platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute technical feasibility assessments, solution estimations, and proposal development for moving identified workloads to Azure.
  • Develop technical and security specifications for targeted applications/workloads in Azure.
  • Develop a migration approach to move workloads from on-premises to Azure or develop new cloud-ready application solutions.
  • Lead and mentor medium to large-sized teams in the migration of workloads or implementations of applications and services to the cloud in large enterprise environments.
  • Document and share technical best practices and insights with the Customer and Smartbridge community, contributing to Smartbridge's repository of intellectual property.
  • Strategize, plan, and execute business development.
  • Engage with Smartbridge technology leaders and solutions experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients.
  • Expand Smartbridge's portfolio of solutions and professional services in the local geography.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships.
  • Induce solutions and ideas to help clients improve their business performance.
  • Work in an entrepreneurial environment with a high level of senior management access.
Requirements
  • 6-12 years of deep experience across systems integration, platforms, solution architecture.
  • Demonstrable Cloud expertise and Cloud solution architecture.
  • Experience in cloud computing technologies and excellent knowledge of current computing trends.
  • Ability to analyze systems and identify problems migrating to Azure cloud.
  • Experience with Architecture creation and delivery, including understanding requirements, formulating design, and communicating the architecture.
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile engineering practices.
  • Experience leading Technology or Application Architecture projects and deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of features and capabilities of the Microsoft Cloud Platform (Security, Firewalls, RedisCache, Key Vault, Service Bus, ASR, Networking, OMS, Blob Storage, Resource Groups, NSG, Application Insights, SQL Server, Sql DB, Load-Balancers).
  • Design and implement advanced functions of Office 365 and/or Azure AD Premium, including security, governance, and compliance.
  • Design and implementation of ADFS identity solutions for more than Microsoft Office 365.
  • Designing Solutions in Microsoft Azure as per project specifications and needs.
  • Drive architecture and technical discussion to lead cloud security, privacy, and compliance decisions, scale, performance, agility, HA/DR considerations.
  • Configure and manage customer Azure cloud environment.
  • Development experience in CI/CD DevSecOps environment.
  • Integration, APIs, API Management software.
  • Designing and Deploying Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions.
  • Experience in Active Directory, Azure Identity Management, and Azure AD Premium.
  • Knowledge of Azure Security components, such as Azure Security Center, Security Operations, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Azure Solution Architect.
  • Deep technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Software design or development of highly distributed applications, working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages: .NET, C++, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive.
  • Azure Dev/Ops tools and best practices for environment management.
  • Virtualization, Networking, Storage, Security configuration and management.
  • Provide second-level support for issues related to compute, network, and storage on Azure.
  • Motivated personality and ability to work in self-organized teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of building trusted technical and business relationships with senior executives and driving growth in highly strategic or key accounts.
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Ability to connect technology with measurable business value.
  • Demonstrated technical thought leadership in customer-facing situations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
  • Minimum education qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field.
  • Certifications (recommended): Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert Microsoft Certification, or another associate-level certification would be an added advantage.
