About the Role
Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner General Surgery Level II to join our team in Los Angeles, California.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced healthcare professional to provide exceptional care to patients with complicated medical or surgical conditions. As a Nurse Practitioner General Surgery Level II, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with our interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze subjective and objective data to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Develop and implement educational plans to promote health literacy and empower patients to take control of their well-being.
- Order pharmacologic interventions and manage medication regimens to optimize patient outcomes.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, and resources within the community.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a general surgery setting.
- Graduation from an accredited RN and NP Program or approved Physician Assistant Program.
- A Master's Degree in Nursing (effective 1/1/03 for those not previously grandfathered in by CMS - NP only).
- A Registered Nurse License (California) AND Nurse Practitioner National Certificate AND Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California) AND Nurse Practitioner Certificate (California).
- Basic Life Support certification.
- National Provider Identifier.
Preferred Qualifications:
We prefer candidates with experience in surgical first assist and a willingness to consider Nurse Practitioner II job code 56256.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.
