Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Provide targeted therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
  • Equip parents and guardians with strategies to support their child's communication development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the development of educational plans.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology and special education.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
