Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Front Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional customer service to our patients and maintain a professional atmosphere. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating appointments, providing reception services, and representing our health center in all patient interactions.

About the Role:

  • Customer Service: Provide top-notch customer service to all patients on the phone and in person, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Scheduling Appointments: Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments (in-office and telehealth), and manage patient registration and insurance verification.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete daily reconciliation of funds collected, process/co-payments at time of service, and assign payment arrangements accordingly.
  • Patient Navigation: Assist patients in navigating insurance plans, processing claims, and creating payment plans when necessary.
  • Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA policies to ensure patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.
  • Technical Skills: Possess and maintain technical expertise required for the job, including proficiency in office software and equipment.
  • Teamwork: Support and participate in process improvement efforts, adapting to changes in assignments and priorities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years' experience working with underserved/vulnerable populations and community resource programs is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, advanced computer skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Licenses/Certifications: None required.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
