About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Title Clerk and Administrator to join our team at United Rentals. As a key member of our dealership operations team, you will be responsible for managing the administration process for our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and issue temporary tags, request titles, and complete title paperwork for all vehicles and equipment covered by our dealership license.
  • Verify sales tax rates and return validated quotes to sales representatives with instructions on what information to provide at point of sale.
  • Manage bank financing, smog checks, and vehicle weight certificates for all vehicles and equipment.
  • Interact with DMV and other government agencies as necessary, via phone and in person.
  • Consistently communicate and reiterate rules around sale processing to ensure compliance.
  • Update our playbook to ensure all processes are quantified, communicated, and followed.
  • Run weekly reports for all locations in the state to ensure no sales have been processed outside of dealership license requirements.
  • Maintain secure copies of customer sales records and dealership licenses.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of experience in dealership operations and licensing matters/commercial truck
  • History of driving compliance with processes/programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively at all levels
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Assertiveness to motivate toward high-level compliance
  • Independent worker and self-starter
  • Computer skills (MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, and organize time
