Material Handler

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at The Shyft Group. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for performing a combination of tasks including ordering, filling, kitting, stocking, loading, and inspecting orders accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate inventory records through stock transfers and cycle counts
• Plan and order materials as required by operations schedule
• Identify and communicate shortage parts
• Assist operators as needed by lifting heavy objects
• Participate in quality improvement efforts
• Utilize good housekeeping practices
• Assist in maintaining safety standards in all areas of responsibility

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Familiarity with line set practices and handling methods
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Commitment to a high standard of excellence
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Familiarity with Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
