Job Summary

The Oregon Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Health Evidence Review Commission Medical Director to join our team. As a key member of our Health Policy and Analytics team, you will be responsible for making evidence- and equity-based recommendations regarding coverage and prioritization of health services for the Health Evidence Review Commission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesize available evidence to inform recommendations
  • Consult with experts and consider equity impact of current policy and proposed changes
  • Write concise summaries for the Health Evidence Review Commission
  • Represent OHA and the HERC to provider groups and other organizations
  • Collaborate with OHA staff on coverage, appeals, and other assigned issues

Requirements
  • MD or DO licensure in Oregon
  • Ability to rapidly analyze evidence and communicate effectively
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations
  • Background in medical utilization review or administrative medical experience
  • Ability to understand and address health inequities
