We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Librarian to join our team at Gwinnett County Public Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising branch staff, coordinating collection maintenance, and providing training and support to staff and customers.

• Supervise and evaluate branch staff, including prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring staff follow policies and procedures.
• Coordinate collection maintenance at the branch level, including eliminating outdated materials, monitoring customer needs, and making recommendations to management.
• Present formal and informal training to staff and customers on relevant topics and issues, and maintain the branch training plan for staff development.
• Work with community groups to promote library activities and services, and coordinate and conduct library tours and community presentations.
• Create and coordinate branch staff schedules, and actively participate in branch operations, including collection maintenance and shelving library materials.
• Manage maintenance and security, including ensuring equipment, furnishings, and building systems are in good working order, and responding to security concerns during and after hours of operation.
• As assigned, provide supervision and support for special services offered at the branch, and maintain all necessary certifications and/or training related to these services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system priorities and initiatives, as well as professional news and trends, and disseminate knowledge to branch staff.

• Master's Degree in Library Science, or a related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible work in a public library setting, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid GA Driver's License, and State of GA certification for Librarianship - Librarian grade 5B, as required.
