Job Summary:

HJD Capital Electric is seeking a skilled Utility Laborer to support our construction teams in San Antonio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for site clean-up, tool and material organization, manual digging and trenching, and assisting with basic duties such as using power tools and power washers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 80 lbs
  • Manually dig trenches for underground utility lines using shovels and by hand
  • Haul dirt, sand, and grass using wheelbarrows
  • Spread and level dirt and sand
  • Work in extreme temperatures across the San Antonio area
  • Perform site clean-up duties such as sweeping, shoveling, throwing away trash, and using a power washer to clean driveways and sidewalks
  • Carry out safety policies to avoid site hazards

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience working in Utility Construction
  • Ability to carry up to 80 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and initiative
  • Reliable transportation
  • Safety-oriented mentality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Underground utility experience
  • Heavy equipment operating skills
  • Carpentry or welding skills
  • Current driver's license
