SAIC is seeking a skilled Software Tester to provide testing support as a member of an integrated agile project development and testing team.

The ideal candidate will work with developers and testers to test custom developed software as required.

Responsibilities include analyzing complex requirements and design documents to develop detailed step-by-step manual test cases, documenting actual results during execution, and reviewing test results to report anomalies into the defect tracking database.

The Software Tester will also develop new automation scripts and update existing scripts to meet newly added functionalities, execute Load/Performance testing by running load test scripts and generating load test execution results reports, and document detailed descriptions of defects and work with developers to reproduce.

Additionally, the Software Tester will assist the test lead with release test plans, generate RTM, maintain regression test databases, and create test reports at the end of each testing phase.

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, 5 years of total IT experience, and 3+ years of experience as a software test engineer.

Strong knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle/Testing Methodologies, ability to analyze complex requirements and design documents, and expertise in executing test cases and documenting actual results are required.

Experience in Quality Center or similar test management tools, Unified Functional Testing tool or similar automation scripting tools, and Basic Knowledge of Structured Query Language are also desired.

The Software Tester will work productively in a dynamic, priority-shifting, deadline-driven environment and have excellent organizational, presentation, and business analysis skills.

Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Basic knowledge of LoadRunner and Selenium, and Experience in CMMI Level 3 Development Environment are also required.

The ideal candidate will be able to create/edit technical documents and User Manuals for new/upgraded software.
