Histotechnician - Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team at LabCorp, where we provide high-quality medical laboratory services.

As a Histotechnician, you will be responsible for processing human tissue and body fluid specimens in preparation for microscopic examination.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sectioning embedded tissue using a microtome and mounting sections properly on microscope slides
  • Performing immunohistochemical tests on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections
  • Processing mounted sections through routine and special staining procedures
  • Preparing stains and reagents needed for special procedures
  • Reporting accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care

Requirements include:

  • Associate's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements
  • Histology and/or ASCP certifications are preferred
  • Previous experience in histology is preferred but not required
