Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our team at First Citizens Bank. As a key member of our Legal Department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to our in-house legal counsel.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to contribute to the bank's success. The successful candidate will provide administrative and legal support for the management of litigation and related matters, including reviewing and routing legal notices, researching and investigating claims, drafting and reviewing settlement documents, and coordinating with other business units.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to in-house legal counsel, including preparing letters, presentations, reports, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with the management of litigation portfolios, including reviewing and analyzing legal notices, and ensuring timely responses to claims and complaints.
  • Draft, review, and process settlement documents and disposition reports.
  • Coordinate with other business units within the bank on document productions, legal holds, and responses to subpoenas.
  • Perform legal research and interface with outside counsel, internal clients, and customers as needed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in paralegal or legal assistant work, with specific experience in litigation and e-discovery. You should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
