About the Role

Early Warning Services LLC, a trusted name in payments, is seeking a seasoned Data Product Strategist to join our Chief Data Organization (CDO) team. As a key member of our Data Quality & Governance team, you will play a crucial role in helping us develop innovative technology solutions to scale data contribution and quantify data risk within our products.

This exciting opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data Engineering, Risk & Analytics, and other business stakeholders. You will translate enterprise-wide stakeholder needs into technical data, reporting, and analytics requirements, driving the development of internal-facing data products or capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Visionary: Develop and articulate a clear vision, roadmap, and technical requirements for data management capabilities, processes, and tools to enable prioritized use cases across the enterprise.
  2. Roadmap Development: Maintain and scope the roadmap for a key pillar of the CDO Organization data roadmap, prioritize activities based on business and user impact, and define product enhancements for both short-term and long-term goals.
  3. User Insight: Gain a deep understanding of end-user needs and experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow adoption and improve user experience.
  4. Governance Expertise: Gather requirements for the Data Quality & Governance team to facilitate various data management use cases, such as data stewardship, governance, classification, data quality monitoring, and anomaly detection.
  5. Success Metrics: Set and achieve success metrics to meaningfully improve business results, focusing on what success looks like for our internal data consumers and how accessible data and insights can help them deliver enterprise value.
  6. Product Evangelism: Act as a product evangelist to build awareness, understanding, adoption, and buy-in across the organization.
  7. Risk Management: Support the company's commitment to risk management and protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data, overseeing the integration of strong data governance, risk, and security controls.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related area, along with 9+ years of experience in product management, data management, or consulting with a proven record of high performance.
  2. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in software development methodologies, such as Agile, experience working with Scrum teams, and expertise with Agile tools like Jira.
  3. Communication and Project Management: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse skill sets across all levels of the organization.
  4. SQL and Analytics: Hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL, comfort with product analytics and data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Mixpanel.
  5. Bonus Requirements: Master's degree in a STEM field or related area, background and drug screen, and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range, estimated at $145,000 - $165,000 per year in Phoenix, AZ, and $165,000 - $185,000 per year in San Francisco, CA, and New York, NY. In addition, we provide a discretionary bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment that prioritizes employee health and happiness.
