As a Caregiving Professional at WMCHealth, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients. This dynamic position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct observation and basic physical patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Clinical Coordinator.
- Assist staff in unit functions and interact with all members of the health care team.
- Observe and record general condition of patient, obtaining urine, sputum, stool, fractional urine and 24-hour urine specimens, and performing hemoccult and sugar and acetone tests.
- Notify Registered Nurse of any changes in patient's clinical status.
- Good knowledge of accepted standards of caring for and comforting the sick, disabled, injured or others requiring mental health or personal assistance.
- Good knowledge of entry-level medical and psychiatric terminology.
- Skill in customer service as it relates to the delivery of care.
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers and all member of the health care team.
- Computer literacy sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
