Job Summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a PRN Specialty Pharmacist to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a PRN pharmacist, you will work on an as-needed basis during facility hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities
  • Dispense medications to patients and ensure safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
  • Lead and direct pharmacy staff, overseeing daily duties and operational performance.
  • Maintain open communication with customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
  • Provide professional consultation to patients and prescribers of partner health facilities.
  • Engage in planning new pharmacy initiatives and managing existing patient care programs.
  • Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Active Maine pharmacist license in good standing.
  • 2-4 years of experience in specialty and retail pharmacy, preferred.
  • 340B understanding and experience, preferred.
  • Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and healthcare professionals.
  • Computer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
What We Offer
  • Anticipated hourly range: $48.70 per hour - $69.60 per hour.
  • Paid time off in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Leadership and supervisory responsibilities for specialty pharmacy technicians.
