Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Professional to join our team in the construction industry.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take on a crucial role in our accounting department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a specific focus on reconciliations, general ledger, financial analysis, accounts receivable, and financial statements.

This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate financial reports and records, including general ledger, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Analyzing financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
  • Reviewing all inter-company transactions and generating invoices as necessary.
  • Coordinating semi-annual audits and assisting in the preparation of audit schedules, reports, and other financial data.
  • Regular ledger maintenance and ensuring accuracy.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
  • Participating in preparation for the annual audit.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of financial metrics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
