At Duke Health, we are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Psychologist with experience in substance abuse and addiction treatments to join our faculty team.

About the Position

This is a faculty position with a focus on integrating clinical care, education, and clinical operations. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based psychological treatment for patients with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses, with a focus on substance use disorders and related mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the leadership and management of clinical operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor clinical psychology trainees, including residents and interns.
Requirements
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship.
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of North Carolina.
  • Demonstrated expertise in substance abuse and addiction treatments, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based interventions.
  • Experience in clinical operations and leadership within a healthcare setting.
