The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in RF design, experience in the aerospace industry, and a proven track record of leading teams and developing business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of RF microwave components and antennas

Generate development documents, including performance specifications, test plans, and proposal support

Provide technical assistance to subcontracts and business development in negotiation of component performance specifications

Work with internal teams and customers to develop solution paths

Cover the full life cycle of projects from inception through production

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in a STEM-related discipline and a minimum of 9 years of relevant engineering experience, or Master of Science in a STEM discipline with 7 years of relevant engineering experience, or PhD with 5 years of relevant engineering experience

Relevant experience in the aerospace industry with design and development of antenna apertures and passive RF components, particularly High-Power Broadband for the EW market

Experience with High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS)

Emphasis on design for manufacturability

Understanding of manufacturing processes such as dip-brazing, plating, and machining

Ability to develop product designs independently and verify those designs through prototype and testing

Experience with mechanical drawings and geometric tolerance

Experience in the creation and execution of Acceptance Test Plans and Qualification Test Plans

Project Leadership experience in scheduling, budgets, product costing, internal and external customer interface, reports and presentations, Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR)

Experience with Statement of Work (SOW) and specification compliance review

Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable time as required by the business

Preferred Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Prior leadership experience

Experience with the test and measurement of antenna and RF passive components, utilizing Orbit FR 959 for field and scanning range test equipment such as a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)

High Power RF component design, Waveguide and Coaxial

Quad Ridged Antenna design

High Power Broad Band component design

Experience with Solid Works

Proposal writing experience and business development support

Prior project leadership and/or systems engineering experience

Salary Range:
$138,100 - $207,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business
